I finished my first half-marathon on Sunday! I have officially joined the ranks of a small percentage of the population that has completed a race of this distance or longer. Full race report to follow.
As a teaser, I'll tell you that my IT Bands and I got to know each other very well for about 8 miles--and needless to say we now hate each other!
BUT I FINISHED! That's all that matters. More later......

- Health issues got me back into running, but love of the sport has kept me there. I am 41 years old and am addicted to running and the community of runners. There is something intoxicating about running and calling oneself a runner. I am hooked. I am part of a wonderful community of runners and we all share a similar passion. congrats, that's awesome, i joined that group in March myself, and am still reveling in the accomplishment, and while me and the IT bands are in a solid relationship, my hip flexors and left quad are barely on speaking terms :) congrats, and I look forward to the race report.
